Hidden Budgie Karaoke

Jerry has been singing behind the wooden climbing frame, I think he thinks that if we can't see him then we can't hear him either and he can do what he likes without attracting any attention to himself.

When we first got Roswell and Snowy we could barely see their eyes because they puffed themselves up so much (being beautiful big exhibition budgies) and wondered if it would hinder their sight when flying but recently we have noticed that we can see their little beady eyes a lot better, which is nice.

Monty has been climbing on top of the lattice ball again (on top of the play centre) and this time telling the little plastic budgie off - we're not sure what it did wrong but all of the birds seem to tell it off and bash it with their beaks.

Lots of pics from us to you..

Scary Strawberries, Buttons and flying

The husband brought back some bargain Strawberries from the supermarket at the weekend so we thought that they might make a tempting treat for the Budgies.

However, this was not the case.  We put them on a little glass dish on the top of the “Summer Palace” for them to try.  Honestly you would think that we were trying to poison them with the lovely red fruit.  We tried pretending to eat it ourselves to show it was not going to murder them, but to no avail.  I guess that the banana and strawberry salad is going to be one to work on!

Monty has been vying for attention all day, flying around our heads and my laptop, out into the kitchen (he knows that one gets our attention as he’s not allowed out there)

I caught a great photo of him nibbling on a button.

See.  I aint scared of no red stuff

Roswell and Jerry have been up to their usual stuff, showing off to each other, flying about doing somersaults and tricks in the air. They look so amazing with all of their feathers out, so bright and colourful.

Roswell is quite a fast mover for an exhibition bird, he must weight twice what Jerry does but is learning to move almost as fast and gracefully – almost.
