Monty's amazing tail

Monty seems to have a lot of trouble hiding when he feels happy. He's like a little doggy with a wagging tail.

This morning it was held up so high that he looked like a remote control car with aerial. I am not sure what all of the other birdies made of this.

Roswell looks rather concerned in the photos.

What do you think?

My Monty is certainly unique! :)

Vegetable Kebabs and cheeky Vandals

At last I thought of an idea for all the lolly-sticks that I had been saving up.  Jerry keeps throwing perfectly good vegetable onto the floor before any of the other budgies have had a chance for a nibble of it.  So I thought I would use the sticks to make a kind of vegetable kebab.

I slit each Mange Tout and Baby Sweet corn and threaded them onto the stick, so far no vegetables have been flung over the side! So far so good!

Where is my piece of corn? I am sure I put it down somewhere

Monty had a good play this morning, running back and forth on the play centre and beating up the plastic budgie. I do wonder what goes through his mind when he does this.  He looks really furious.

Roswell and Jerry have been up to their usual tricks of climbing on things and biting them. In this case it was the turn of the Budgie Screen that we made for the Window.

A day in the nuthouse

The birds are acting like total loonies today zipping about a lot and squawking.  It’s quite windy outside and the wind keeps blowing the curtains about, this always drives the birds insane.

They also don’t like it that there is no sun this afternoon, they usually like to sit in the Summer Palace and catch the rays, but alas it looks like it’s going to rain – wonder what they will make of that? – I don’t think they have seen a proper downpour yet.

I left them a whole millet cut into two when we went out earlier as something to keep them occupied – I don’t give them millet often. We came back to two skeletons of millet – one on the floor, guess they enjoyed it then.

We have been out shopping and I have bought some Tarragon for the birds to try tomorrow morning, Probably give them some baby corn with it too.
