He has a great singing voice. Jerry is probably the best singer of my flock. Perhaps this is due to the fact that in the Pet Shop that we acquired him from, he was housed next to lots of Canaries.
Jerry could be part-canary, he is definitely fluent in the lingo.

ReplyDeleteI find it weird that my bird has overly animated conversations with random inanimate objects. He has recently taken to chatting at a small wooden strut in an armchair. What on earth can they be saying?
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to figure out why budgies do this, singing to inanimate objects. I can only imagine they are practicing for the real thing. They do seem to choose things with knob-like features to them, maybe because it's easier to imagine turning it into a female budgie's head.
ReplyDeleteI think most of the time there is a reflection on round things, so they think they are singing to another bird :) Nice blog Marianne, I am dazzled by how lovely snowy is!
