Monty decided he needed a little bit of extra attention today so he flew over to the husband and hopped up and down his arm and sang.
Whilst this was happening Dumpling (aka Lilek) was on my shoulder squawking in his best high pitched way right in my ear)
Gotta love 'em, they do like you to know how they feel :)

Seed Storage and a new table for the fiends
We managed to get hold of a great cool box for storage of the 20kg sack of budgie seed that we took delivery of recently. It didn't all fit though so we had to store the remainder in some klip it boxes!
We also got a great new(ish - we got it from a kind soul on Freecycle) table on wheels to put the Summer Palace on, this should make it much easier when vacuuming and sweeping as it can be rolled out of the way.
When Monty saw it he felt he was one step closer to owning that Harley he had always dreamed of.
Recent photos of the fiends, humungous table and masses of seed are below..

Basil, Dill, Baths and millet
The fiends have been spoilt today.
We have given them millet pegged up in the summer palace, a bath (Snowy, Jerry and Roswell got absolutely soaked!) and I pegged up some Basil and Dill for them to munch on and chuck all over the place as they do.
I'll clean the mess up later on when I have the energy.
Here are some photos..

Rest in Peace Custard - you will be missed
Sadly my little Yellow Pied budgie passed away yesterday. She was a sweet little bird and will be greatly missed. She was great friends with Roswell and Jerry although very shy had come out of her shell a lot in the past few months.
We're not entirely sure what the problem was but suspect a tumour and internal bleeding from this.
I held her in my hand and spoke to her as she passed, she did not suffer.
We miss you little Custard, you will not be forgotten.

Dumpling decided that he wanted a head scratch and almost fell asleep while I did it.
Here are some photos of Snowy and Hector with Blue-boy that I took earlier.
Blue-boy and Hector decided that they wanted to sleep in the tiny pink Ferplast cage last night, they settled in for the night as I was cleaning up all the cages and wouldn't come out.

Posing for photographs is easy when you are a cute feathery bird.

Who is making all that noise down there?
We need to have a meeting about Monty's tail. I am concerned.
Did you ever see such an adorable budgie?
More adorable than a Hector?
Monty's amazing tail
Monty seems to have a lot of trouble hiding when he feels happy. He's like a little doggy with a wagging tail.
This morning it was held up so high that he looked like a remote control car with aerial. I am not sure what all of the other birdies made of this.
Roswell looks rather concerned in the photos.
What do you think?
My Monty is certainly unique! :)

Who is this beautiful Chap?
We were out and about today so we splashed out on a new toy for the fiends - a mirror :)
They love their own little beaky faces so we thought that they might like to stare at themselves some more.
Lilek has already waddled up to it and had a good look, he ran round the back to see if the other side was different but no the same face stared back at him. Confusing.
