Clever Roswell the acrobatic budgie

We just saw Roswell climb the Tower of Terror.

It was amazing he climbed up from rung to rung in a spiral until he was at the top rung, clever little boy! He also climbed back down again. I am so glad he’s enjoying the mug tree, he does love to climb.

Here are a few more pictures of Roswells antics:

Don’t miss the Budgie Olympics

Apparently there is going to be a little bit of sport in 2012 going on in a park somewhere in East London, that’s what I overheard on a train once anyway so it might not be true.

Forget all that though, this is infinitely better – the budgie Olympics!

Today Jerry has been competing rather fiercely (with himself) at the wonderful event of Key Throwing. This sport entails grabbing a key with his beak and seeing how far he can fling or fly and drop it across the room. Jerry has managed 2.70 Metres as a Personal Best (yes we actually got the tape measure out) and the way he is training I am expecting him to break the sacred 3 Metre mark tomorrow and I also hope to catch him in action – immortalised in film – or at least Pixels.

The “Stare at the wheely bird” competition training is being taken very seriously by Monty and Snowy.
