She's settling in so well, I am so happy with her progress. Not only has she got both Jerry and Hector running after her giving her food but she now comes and has a nibble at the vegetables I put out for them.
Good girl Abbie :)
She makes such cute and funny little noises too, really different from the boys, a bit like Gizmo!

Fiends Frollicking - Photos from the day
Here are some photos from the day - the fiends have had corn and basil so are more excited than usual.
It's time to let the cat out of the bag, open a can of worms and several other silly sayings...
I rehomed a new bird. Her name is Abbie (it was Albie but we felt it too masculine for such a pretty little birdie so we altered one tiny letter) and she has been here since last Wednesday.
Her owners didn't have enough time to spend with her and wanted her to be with other budgies. She did have a cage-mate a few years ago but he escaped and she has been on her own for a few years - with human interaction of course.
Abbie is four years old and a hen, her genetic mutation is Dominant Pied, Violet - we hope that she will be very happy here.
She has already bonded with Jerry and Hector, allowing both to feed her seed, in fact she rarely has to venture forth for food herself, she has the boys well-trained.
Her habits include biting the bars and hanging upside-down which she does even more frequently than Roswell. We have noticed that she doesn't sing as much as the boys and she makes strange high-pitched sounds line a mini-dolphin!
Here is a photo of the pretty new recruit

More Basil please we're addicted
The fiends do love a bit of Basil, it's like their version of caffeine. Basil seems to make them jump around and play even more than usual.

Hector always has plenty to say for himself and today was no exception.
He even managed to slip in a few of his characteristic "hops" which he does when he's really excited or has a point to make.
I'm sure Blueboy (his best budgie pal) was very impressed.

Roswell in this weeks Cage and Aviary Birds
Roswell has managed to get himself in the paper!
My beautiful Grey boy is on page 6 of this weeks cage and aviary birds looking suitably handsome in the Readers Gallery section of the publication.
Hopefully the fame will not go to his pretty feathered head. :)

I'm playing - what do you want?
Why do you always have to interrupt me when I am playing?
I like to tap things with my beak to show that they are mine (everything is mine) and hop around as high as I can.
Get that camera out of my face.
